Our most popular Brazilian Cherry option, the 3 1/4" width has become the industry standard for exotic hardwood installations. This dimension provides the perfect canvas for showcasing Jatoba's renowned deep red tones and distinctive grain patterns while maintaining excellent dimensional stability. The extra quarter-inch over standard 3" planks makes a subtle but noticeable difference in visual presence. Each board is kiln-dried to 6-9% moisture content, precision tongue-and-groove milled, and finished with our signature 7-coat UV-cured aluminum oxide system. This factory finish is more durable than almost any site-applied finish and requires zero VOC off-gassing in your home.

It balances visual appeal, cost efficiency, and stability. Wider planks show more wood grain per linear foot while remaining stable enough for most climates.
Prefinished is more durable (factory UV cure is harder than polyurethane), faster to install, and introduces zero fumes. Site-finished allows custom staining and a completely flat surface.
