White Oak is offered as a solid 3/4" domestic hardwood in Select and Rustic grades. Square edge material is available, making it well suited to site-finished and new-construction installations.

Species Information

European White Oak is a premium solid domestic line offering a stunning take on a timeless classic. We mill it in wide widths and long lengths, available in Select and Rustic grades.

Our solid 3/4" White Oak is milled square edge, tongue & groove, and end matched, in widths of 5", 6", 7", or 8" and random lengths of 3′ to 10′.

Grading: Select is 80% or more heartwood with a hint of sapwood, practically free of defects with limited small character marks. Rustic allows frequent small, tight, sound defects — unlimited sound knots 7/8" (22 mm) or smaller, burls, twig clusters, bark pockets or worm holes — with every board grading a full-width clear rustic cutting of at least 4′ and at least 80% rustic on the better face.

Color Change Over Time

White Oak offers a wide array of natural color variations that produce a warm, timeless appearance. The grade you choose drives how much character shows in the floor.

In Select grade the floor reads clean and consistent — 80% or more heartwood with only a hint of sapwood and limited small character marks. In Rustic grade you get far more movement, with frequent small sound knots, burls, twig clusters, bark pockets and worm holes adding rustic character.
